A life project
Alternative Kite was born in 2011 out of a genuine love for the sea of Arraial do Cabo and the art of teaching kitesurf and wingfoil. We started small, with one kite and a lot of passion — and grew by building lasting bonds with our students.
Over more than 15 years, we've trained hundreds of kitesurfers and wingfoilers. Many who came to learn here return every year — as students, as visitors, as friends.
Today we offer a kitesurf and wingfoil school, boat tours and kayak rental — all on Lagoa de Araruama, one of Brazil's best spots to learn to sail.

Quality equipment, CREF-registered instructor and strict safety protocols in every lesson. Lagoa de Araruama is the safest environment to learn.
Individual and personalised
We don't work with large groups. Each student has a dedicated instructor, at their own pace, with full attention throughout the lesson.
